Major Over Haul

I'll be doing a major overhaul of how the site functions and is used. I'll be changing the usability drastically to make it easier to use and much more logical. Sami helped me a lot in the design concepts I did for this new revision. We'll see how it goes once I get it all working the way I want. Cool

  • Navigation update

background color of a new window?

so I haven't touched CSS or any web stuff for a long time now. I got some thumbnails that just link to regular image files. I'm using CSS to control things like the text color and all that stuff.

I can't figure out a way to change the background color of the new window that the image opens up into. Basically, I just want to make the background color of ALL pages the same color, even new pages that open up from the thumbnails Is there any way to do this in CSS? I'm not creating a web-page for each thumbnail link, it's just a .jpg file that opens, but the background always defaults to white, I'd like to change that color.

Missing stuff

MAJOR LND update - Ideas?

I will be transfering LND to the final release of the backbone software. It's been on the server running in the background and been quite an interesting experience switching as many of our modules over to the new system as I can. Some of them are mine some of them others built. It'll be an interesting experience switching the database over as well. There's a bunch of new naming conventions and restructuring but shouldn't be a problem. We currently have almost 1000 database entries and I'm hoping to not lose anything. I will have backups of course, so no worries. I'd also like to keep this version up running as a legacy incase you guys don't like the new stuff. I'll have it run off the same database so that it will automatically update the data.

Anyone shoot stock photography?

I have been shooting alot of landscape and sunset photos lately, and several folks at work mentioned that I should look into submitting them to stock photo websites.   Anyone here ever done that?  Anyone know what stock photo site would provide the best exposure for landscapes?

Thanks!

Going on the current Trend...

If you havn't heard yet, I got a new job. I start at American Express as an Instructional Design II employee. Not exactly sure what I will be doing but the pay is good and it sounds really laid back. As much as I can infer from the questions they asked and and what I needed in my resume, I'll be working with Adobe Suite, Macromedia and lots of XML. So, who knows. I'm very excited, and pending a drug test, I start the 15th of this month! Yeah, me! Ok, there's my little time in the spot light. Seacrest.. I mean Rob Out.

Yahoo Gasses the Truth

Yahoo, I have noticed with there news articles stretches the truth in their headlines. For instance this headline "Bolivia Leader Orders Army to Gas Fields" so what do I think? They are gassing fields? Well not exactly, it seems that that the army is being sent to take control of gas fields. No one is being gassed....and this isnt the first time I have seen Yahoo (or whatever news agency supplies Yahoo's news) do this... Watch you will see it

Google fires double barrell at Microsoft IE7 search

By Stan Beer  -  Tuesday, 02 May 2006

Google has fired off a double barrelled antitrust-like complaint to both the US Justice Deoartment and the European Commission (EC) over Microsoft making MSN Search the default search engine in the new version of its dominant Internet Explorer browser, IE7. Internet Explorer currently has 85% market share, a share that is slowly being eroded by Mozilla Firefox and, to a lesser extent Opera from Opera Software.
